“It is a real pleasure to be taking part in the Men in Hats Plein Air group. When painting on location, I feel at one with the flow of life as it happens around me. As long as I can capture my first impressions on the canvas, the rest falls into place later in the studio.”
Bonita Ruttkay received her classical training at the Vancouver Academy of Art and is an Active member of the Federation of Canadian Artists. Extensive traveling in Europe, Asia, North and South America has greatly influenced her life and art. The scenic fishing village of Steveston, B.C. is where she lives, works, teaches, exhibits, and finds constant inspiration.
